What we wanted to really put a great emphasis on with the design is slightly lean towards more professionalism instead of focusing just on being cheap, we also wanted to establish some unique identity for Billig animation to set the apart from the competitors.
Shapes & colors:
We decided to go with 3 basic shapes (square, circle, and triangle) and combine them with 3 basic colours (red, yellow, and blue). That combination accrues on our website in different situations. Shapes and colours are forming nice non-aggressive theme for billig animation and can be use wherever on the graphics, ads, and so on
Logo:
A pivotal decision in our project was the redesign of our logo. The previous yellow-dominated design lacked readability and failed to make a memorable impact. The new logo, characterized by a modern and minimalistic approach, enhances both readability and memorability, elevating brand recognition. Its seamless integration with various shapes contributes to a harmonious visual aesthetic. After several iterations, we settled on a design that strikes the perfect balance between simplicity and sophistication, embodying the essence of our brand with remarkable clarity.
Gatsby & SEO:
The website is constructed with Gatsby and leverages WordPress as a CMS for administrator convenience. Tailwind and Sass were employed for content styling, ensuring a visually appealing design. Deployment is handled through Vercel, resulting in a performant and static website. Attention to SEO aspects has led to an impressive Lighthouse score, nearly achieving a perfect 100.
WordPress as CMS:
Our client opted to retain WordPress for their website, and we transformed it into a robust CMS using the recommended plugins. Data structuring involves placing relevant information in posts with specific categories. These posts are then processed by plugins, and the transformed data is sent to the Gatsby frontend, where it is fetched using GraphQL. Despite it not aligning with my personal CMS preferences, this approach is both feasible and user-friendly for the website owner. The inclusion of Advanced Custom Fields further enhances its functionality.
